haven't posted i a while...not purposefully, i just got distracted.

watched Hidden last night.

a very odd French thriller. really excellent throughout, but i found the ending unsatisfying. watched the interview with the director, which made it only slightly less unsatisfying. i'm happy with the idea of ambiguity, but i like to know what a film's being ambiguious about. and the final shot pretty much just left me with a "huh?" feeling. but i did really enjoy the various unanswered questions the rest of the film present, regarding guilt, relationships, etc.

otherwise life is good. course should be finally starting in a few weeks. we'll see how that goes. i am greatly enjoying having a bike to use for getting around the area. mostly round egham and staines, but i did have a nice long ride (approx 13 miles each way) to church on sunday, which left me tired but in a good mood.

pub tonight, i think. i will be making very few appearances in the future, as my course will go to 9:30 on thursday nights. in london. so i'll just be getting home and crawling into bed.

I felt somewhat similar about Hidden - and I too watched the director's interview thing and thought "oh - so there REALLY isn't a firm conclusion"

But it was still a very interesting film.
