i am a tired wench.
but i have so very much to do.
must sort job things.
must sort loan things.
must clean room.

on the plus side, i am spending saturday at the ren faire with my little sisters. who are really some of the most excellent little sisters out there. tragically, the older couldn't join us, but there will still be excellent sistertime with just the 3 of us.

and urizen will be here in a little over a week.

3 months being way too long i am very much looking forward to this, yupyup.
we have assorted plans, involving new york, dc, and mountains. i am pleased.

on which note, *poke* at sea_cucumber--in the next week or so must figure out about possibilities of meeting up with you in new york.

and, announcement to dc people: we will be down there the 18-20th of august. i shall be assuredly dragging urizen to game on thursday. and i believe zankoku_zen has muttered some form of agreement to meeting up beforehand, for feeding.
otherwise, i have threatened him with meeting my friends, so if people are potentially about friday, or earlier in the day on saturday, would like to make plans...

now i go do something productive.
possible invovling food rather than anything on the list.

ross and i will actually be away most of that time, but the 17th would work.
would probably be easiest to sort out specifics of meeting up once you arrive and can have some slight orientation.
i can e-mail you my phone number if that would work (unless you will have spod in your hotel) and/or you could send me the hotel info so i could call them and ask for y'all.

i know you may have trouble with this concept, but y'all brits do not, in fact, control the language any more. after y'all conquered lots of places and got people to speak English there, they started to change it to suit themselves.
now if only America could get over its empire kick too...

it's whatever time's best for you, really. we're getting down whenever we feel like it, so are flexible. when do you have to be in gaithersburg?

i'm not entirely sure when i have to be back. probably within the constraints of buses/metro schedules unless some poor kind soul decides to give me a ride back.

meeting beforehand isn't too much of a problem since i have nothing else to do. my main quandary is about getting back.

all of the above are acceptable and, in fact, excellent suggestions. now i am come to the mental halt of realizing i don't actually know many restaurants in dc!
we will be staying in virginia, just over the river from georgetown, and i will have my car, so somewhere in the approximate area of the city (handily, the same area as the game), would work for me.
you are metroing, correct? conveniently, i can lift you to game after dinner if you so desire...

yes. i will be metro-ing in. erm... yeah. not so good with the restaurant end of things as i have a few places i do like to go to, all metro accessible non quite so close to the game site. perhaps the washingtonian and cheap eats are our best bet?

don't know either of those, but as long as they are in the same general area of the city (i don't want to drive all the way to the other side during rush hour!) it works for me. as long as you tell me where they are.
