i have heard rumors that overheating can totally kill a computer. especially if the cooling bits are old and dusty...
not that i know where the cooling bits are. but spraying them with condensed air can help a lot in the cooling process.
backing up the data is definetly a good idea, though. oh, and i miss the pam-pam. i am jealous of your ex-patriate status, m'dear.
