Nov. 18th, 2006 12:48 ami'm still definitely on UK time. so sleepy. but must stay up to get small sister from airport.
day of doing little. spent most of it on the internet. and it involved quite a lot of catching up with friends. i want on AIM, which i hardly do in the UK as my british friends generally don't have it and my american friends are never on when i am. middle of the day UK time=early morning US time. so i went on and talked to a bunch of people i haven't heard from in months, or, in one case, years.
i discovered that i really should be a better correspondent. because
1) one of my friends just got married in scotland. had a party in kent, which he would've invited me to if i weren't a terrible correspondent. he didn't know i was in the UK. i haven't seen him in years, literally, and it would've been nice to catch up, and to meet his wife. but he did show me pictures, which were neat.
2) a good friend from university is in new york. right now. but by the time this was discovered, plans could not be made before he goes away again.
but it was shiny to talk to both of them, and to others. i must e-mail people more often. i probably won't though. because i never do.
