finished yesterday with
cyrano de begerac, which was rather disappointing. i first saw it many years ago and recall absolutely loving in. granted, my taste are likely to have changed but i do recall that production being funny, which last night's wasn't terribly. which is quite unfortunate because much of what feeds the ultimate tragedy is how much you like cyrano and one of his key charms is his wittiness. he's supposed to be funny. it helps set off the serious bits. ah well. i still wholeheartedly recommend
oleanna. it's even got famous people in it, julia stiles and aaron eckhart. but only if you want to see something that makes you think and probably makes you angry.
i also re-read
fire and hemlock for at least the 4th time. and i finally formed a theory on what the hell is going on at the end. woot!
and, to be a lemming as well,
